A one-of-a-kind hand-built stoneware bud vessel with a softly rounded form and a short, irregular neck. A pale celadon-gray body meets an earthy terracotta rim, while a richly textured band of ivory, smoky lavender, and warm brown moves across the upper surface.
The vessel was sculpted by hand, finished with a combination of handmade glazes, and fired twice with soda ash in a gas kiln. Variations in color, texture, and surface markings are unique results of this process and form part of the character of the piece.
